What We Do

RETINAVUE C.jpg

Diabetic Eye Exams

Diabetic retinopathy is THE leading cause of preventable vision loss and blindness among working age adults. The CDC estimates nearly 25,000 patients with diabetes lose their vision to this disease every year, and yet DR-related vision loss is 95% preventable with early diagnosis and treatment! At VuePoint Diagnostics we are dedicated to helping eliminate every unnecessary case of blindness possible. Our mobile team serves payers and providers to reach diabetic patients who are unable or unwilling to visit a eye specialist to receive their annual DRE.

The Results Are Clear

  • Happier patients with better access to care, and improved health outcomes

  • Increase revenues through better quality program performance

  • Enhanced risk adjustment and documentation of chronic conditions

CLOSE EYE EDIT - FOR FAQ.jpg
  • Do you bill the insurance carrier?
Yes. We do bill patient insurance directly for long term care, home health services, and assisted living.
  • If it rains, can an exam still be performed in home?
Yes. A technologist will call to schedule the exam. We do place safety of our patients and employees first though in inclement weather situations.
  • When will I get my results?
Your provider will typically have access to the results within 2 hours from an expedited return and 4 hours for a routine exam. Check with your provider for your results.
  • If an exam is done in my home, will there be a co-pay that I am responsible for?
If you do have a co-pay, the amount would not be larger than what you would pay at the physician’s office.
  • Do you have a step rule that limits you to entering a patient's home?
No. We generally evaluate steps and switch staff to make physical adjustments to accommodate, if necessary. We request that you make us aware if there is a difficult entry to the patient.
  • What are the service cut off times?
Our routine service times operate from 8:00am – 7:00pm. Our STAT service times operate from 7:00pm – 8:00am.
  • Do you provide weekend Ultrasound services?
Yes. We provide services 365 days a year. We generally have all exams complete within a 12 hour window unless prep is needed, it could be a longer turn around time.
  • Do you have a patient weight limit?
No. Our machines are equipped with a protective grid to ensure we are not limited to any amount of weight.

How Are We Different?

We include all relevant CPT, CPT II, and ICD-10 codes.

  • Did you know there are over 3-dozen types of pathology visible in the retina when interpreted by an eye specialist?

  • At least 4 of those ICD-10 codes tie directly to HCC codes, improving Risk Adjustment capture for your plan

  • CPT II codes. While we’re all in this to improve patient outcomes, we go the extra mile to ensure your quality program is automatically credited for each completed exam.

Quarterly reviews – we work directly with your corporate and market leadership to report on our performance, with relevant reports provided daily, weekly, monthly and formal reviews held quarterly to track total progress to goal.

We not only record some of the highest success (reach, schedule, completion) rates in the industry, but we also automate every possible step in the process to reduce or eliminate administrative burden on your team while ensuring you close every possible gap.
